After syncing accounts using Directory Sync, some users in the Users tab of the Rublon Admin Console that existed before now have a blue ‘AD’ symbol next to their usernames, indicating they were successfully synced. However, their status remains Bypass.
The reason is that Rublon does not override user statuses that were manually set before the Directory Sync took place. If a user’s status was manually set to Bypass before the sync, the system retains that status even after synchronization. This behavior is intentional to avoid overriding admin-defined settings and consuming licenses unnecessarily.
If a user status changes from Active to Bypass after Directory Sync, this may mean that the subscription type is set to Free, in which case only one user can have the Active status. All other users’ statuses will be set to Bypass until a Business subscription is purchased. Usually, this happens on a user-per-user basis, as they try to log in. However, Directory Sync enforces this status change on all synced users right away.
